Interestingly, MI has added a customization feature this time around, allowing fans to personalize the MI jersey with the name and number of their choice. The customization facility will be available in all sizes, the franchisee said.
βOur team jersey is a reflection of the ethos of Mumbai Indians,β said the Mumbai Indians Spokesperson during the unveiling event. Over the years, Mumbai Indians have been home to many aspirations which have emerged as inspiring stories. This is synonymous to the spirit of Mumbai which opens its arms with opportunities to every individual who dreams and believes in his future. We look forward to stepping onto the field with the support and passion of our fans as we don this jersey.β
Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2023 will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 2. The five-time IPL winners will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in what is known as the El-ClΓ‘sico of the IPL, at the Wankhede Stadium on April 8.
Although MI has assembled a decent set of players for IPL 2023, there have been a few setbacks for the franchise. Pacemaker Jasprit Bumrah is also expected to be out of cricket during the 2023 IPL. The pacemaker underwent back surgery in New Zealand and will take at least a few months to recover.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have suffered another blow as their overseas signing Jhye Richardson is also likely to be ruled out of the IPL after suffering a hamstring injury recently.
